Ingredients
- large field mushrooms — 400g
- salted butter — 30g
- garlic cloves, crushed — 3 cloves
- balsamic vinegar — 2 tbsp
- fresh thyme leaves — 1 tbsp
- sea salt — 0.5 tsp
- black pepper — 0.5 tsp

Clean the field mushrooms by wiping them with a damp cloth and remove the stems.

Place the frying pan over a medium-high heat and melt the salted butter until foaming.

Add the field mushrooms gill-side down and sear for 4 minutes until golden brown.

Turn the mushrooms over, add the crushed garlic and fresh thyme leaves to the pan, and cook for a further 3 minutes.

Pour the balsamic vinegar over the mushrooms and toss gently to coat them in the syrupy glaze.
