Privacy Policy — Ingrediently
Ingrediently is an app that helps you find recipes using the ingredients you already have at home.
Account details
When you create an Ingrediently account, I store your email address and a display name. Your account also holds the recipes, kitchen items, meal plans, dietary preferences and cooking history you save in the app. I do not sell your personal information.
Ingredient scans & photos
When you take or upload a photo to identify ingredients, the image is sent securely to an AI image-analysis service that recognises what is in the picture. I use the result to suggest recipes based on the ingredients you already have. Photos are processed for ingredient recognition and are not retained beyond what is needed to provide and improve this feature.
Saved recipes & meal plans
The recipes you save and the meal plans you build are stored on your device and, when you are signed in, synced to your account. This lets you access your saved recipes and planned meals across devices.
Calorie & dietary data
If you use the calorie and macro tracking features, the meals you log and your daily nutrition targets are stored on your device and, when signed in, with your account. Your dietary preferences (such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or dairy-free) are used to filter recipe suggestions and are stored with your account.
Location
Ingrediently asks for your home country so it can suggest recipes that match what you typically cook and what is available in your local supermarkets. This is a country-level preference you set manually — the app does not track your GPS location or collect precise location data.
Payments — Stripe
If you subscribe to Premium via the website, payment processing is handled by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your payment details independently — Ingrediently does not see or store your full card number. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/legal/privacy.
Payments — Google Play
If you subscribe to Premium via the Android app, payment processing is handled by Google Play Billing. Google handles your payment details — Ingrediently does not see or store your full card number. Purchase tokens are used solely to verify your subscription and grant access. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Recipe generation
Recipes are created by an AI model based on the ingredients and preferences you provide. Always use your judgement and follow food-safety practices — ingredient recognition and recipes cannot guarantee food quality or suitability for your specific situation.
Cookies & local storage
Ingrediently uses local storage on your device to remember your kitchen inventory, saved recipes, dietary preferences and settings so the app feels fast and personal. I do not use advertising cookies or trackers.
Third-party services
Ingrediently uses third-party services to operate, including cloud infrastructure, AI recipe generation, image analysis, nutrition databases, and payment processing (Stripe and Google Play). These providers may process data as necessary to provide their services, and each operates under their own privacy policies.
Children
Ingrediently is not intended for children under 13. I do not knowingly collect information from children.
Data retention
Data stored locally on your device (kitchen inventory, saved recipes, meal plans, history and preferences) remains until you clear it or uninstall the app. Account data (your email address and synced items) is retained while your account is active and deleted when you request account deletion.
Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your data at any time. Locally stored data can be cleared from the app's settings. To delete your account and associated data, use the data management option in the Account section or email me at support@ingrediently.co.uk.
Security
I take reasonable measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
I may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
