About Ingrediently

Ingrediently is a recipe app that builds meals from the ingredients you already have at home.

What it does

Most recipe apps assume you can pop to the shops. Ingrediently doesn't. There are three things it does, and you get all three free for 7 days — no card needed.

Scan. Photograph what's in your kitchen, or type it in, and you get recipes that use only those ingredients. No shopping list, no substitutions you don't own, no half-used jars going to waste.

Your feed. A home feed that moves with where you are and what time of year it is, so February never looks like July. Sixteen cuisines, without buying a single specialty ingredient you'll never use again.

The weekly shop. Plan a full week in one go — pick your supermarket, set your budget, and get seven days of breakfast, lunch and dinner with a shopping list priced at real UK supermarket prices.

Every recipe comes with step-by-step instructions, cooking times and allergen notes.

Ingrediently is free for 7 days. After that it's £4.99 a month. You don't need a card to start.

Who it's for

Ingrediently is for four kinds of evening.

You're in a rush. Twenty minutes, people waiting, no time to stand there deciding.

You're on a budget. The money has to stretch to Friday, and a meal made from what's already in the cupboard is one you don't pay for twice.

You forgot to go to the shop. Or you couldn't get there. Either way you're cooking with what's in the house tonight.

You hate throwing food away. Half a cabbage, three eggs and the end of a bag of rice should be dinner, not bin.

And when you have got time to shop, the feed is there for the nights you just want an idea — sixteen countries, budget meals, and a side for whatever you're already making.

Who builds it

Ingrediently is built by one person. I'm Oscar, I'm based in the UK, and I build it on my own — no team, no investors, no office.

It started with a fridge. I opened it one evening with no idea what to make for my family, went through recipe apps that all wanted me to go out and buy three things I didn't have, and thought there should be one that works the other way round.

I'm not going to lecture anyone about food waste. But I do think throwing food away is a waste of money as much as anything else, and the easiest way to stop doing it is to make the thing already in your fridge worth cooking. That's the whole app. If you have a question, an idea, or you just want to say hello, it comes to me directly.
